The best way to clean your Implant O’ is to use hot soapy water and/or a little bit of Oxi-clean or 3% hydrogen peroxide (from the drug store).
Put some dish soap into the glass bottle along with hot water. Put the cap on with the tubing firmly.
You can then pump the soapy water through the tubing and cap assembly the same way you would doing an enema – BUT INTO THE SINK! 🙂
Then rinse with clean water the same way.
You can then hang the cap and tubing up to dry.
The same can be done with the silicone catheters.
This should keep the tubing clean for some time.
An alternative method is to put a small amount of 3% hydrogen peroxide into the bottle and pump it through the tubing. You can also use a spray bottle to spray into the tubing if you like. Let it sit for a few minutes and then rinse with water.
For a deeper cleaning, periodically, you can use Oxi-clean (1-3 tsp per bottle) and hot water.
This can be pumped through in the same way.
A bottle brush can be handy to get any oils off of the bottle.
If there is persistent staining in the glass bottle, use a tablespoon of Oxi-clean and hot water.
Fill to the top of the bottle and let it sit for an hour or two then rinse.
Happy cleaning!
